Maria, far be it from me to defend anyone who bags on palin but If the Ak dispatch is a liberal consipiracy rag, how come they linked to an entry on this very "Finding Myself" blog when wrting about Palin's wasilla booksigning? Go to the section of their site called "Palin Watch" then scroll down to the entry, "No Place Like Home" at the end of the article, they link to Tracey's blog. I've actually found their palin coverage fair--Critical, certainly, but generally fair. And if you've spent much time reading the dispatch, you'd know that Palin coverage is a relatively minor part of what they regularly do.

I think the Alaska Dispatch was set up by elite national liberals for the specific purpose of hurting Sarah Palin on a so-called "local level."

I did some research on their main investor and it's a bit troubling. To say she is Alaskan would be a lie.. In fact, if I were a conspiracy theorist, I would be in full-blown pantic mode over this person.

Alice Rogoff Rubenstein is her name and she is beyond elite.. She and her husband are scary rich. Her husband is also the public face of the Carlyle Group and sits on the board of the CFR.

Like I said, if I were a conspiracy theorist, I would be calling into the Alex Jones show right now trying to set up a meeting with Jesse Ventura.

I'm not sure what her real purpose is but I find the woman to be using her vast fortune to hurt Sarah Palin and meddling in Alaskans business.
