Alaska's fires
As Jill, Adrienne, and I were traveling to Fairbanks for the inauguration this weekend, we wondered what the weather would be like and if the fires that have plagued the interior would be a problem. As we grew closer to Fairbanks we began to see smoke plumes. The photographer in me could not resist stopping in a couple of places and capturing a few photos of this beautiful but destructive part of what makes Alaska unique. Please enjoy my photos but pray for the men and women who are fighting these fires, and those whose homes and livelihoods may be in harm's way.
